Naoto Usuyama

I'm a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research.

My research focuses on scaling AI training and integrating multimodal data, from text and images to EHRs and genomics, to build models that can reason across time and modalities. I'm working toward AI that truly understands our health, supports how we work and think effectively, and accelerates discovery that improves lives.

Originally from Kamakura and Tokyo, Japan, I'm now based near Seattle with my wife and daughter.
